IOPC FUNDS TROPHIES

(Abstract Sculpture)

The sculpture was commissioned by The International Oil Pollution Compensation Funds to commemorate their 40thAnniversary in 2018. Each of the bronze trophies was presented to one of the former Directors at a special session held at the International Maritime Organisation Headquarters in London. The sculpture was originally carved in mdf and iroko wood. From this former Livingstone Art Founders made moulds from which a wax was taken. This wax was used to cast the bronze. The sculptures were finally patinated with copper sulphate on the sphere, giving the blue/green colour with the rest allowed to remain the natural bronze colour.
