About The Eumenides Sculpture Series . . . [ show / hide ]
The inspiration for the Eumenides series comes from Greco-Roman Mythology, Eumenides is a euphemism for the Furies. The sculptures have multiple faces making one head, the Janus concept. Eumenides II Medusa is made from welded steel artefacts found along the shores of the Thames and Medway and pays homage to the constructed sculptures of Picasso, Gonzalez and Smith.
